The Benefits Of A Beauty Box For Women

It’s common for women to have several responsibilities in life. Usually, they have to juggle their time and energy from being an employee, parent, and sibling to their own family. They also have to accomplish several tasks such as properly allocating the household’s finances and maintaining positive relationships with the people working and living around them.

For women who don’t have the time to shop for beauty products, a beauty box can be a godsend. Also called as subscription boxes, beauty boxes for women is a service used by businesses to provide niche-based products to their target market, attract new customers, and reward loyal customers.

Customers who subscribe to beauty boxes, on the other hand, can experience these benefits:

A Beauty Box

1. Convenience

As mentioned, women will have a very hectic schedule. For one, women play a significant role in their family’s lives 24/7. This is the reason why most women won’t have any energy to drive from their homes and visit stores to buy specific beauty products.

One of the biggest benefits you can get from beauty boxes is convenience. When you subscribe to this service, beauty products will be delivered straight to your doorstep on a specific date of the month.

These features will save you stress from driving or commuting just to buy your favourite facial toner and cleanser. Since the delivery of beauty boxes follow a schedule, you’ll know how and when to make minor adjustments to your daily routine to accommodate the arrival of your package.

2. Potential Savings

Women are responsible for keeping track of the household’s budget. Moms, for example, are expected to pay the bills, budget for groceries, and allocate a certain amount of money for emergencies and savings.

When you subscribe to beauty boxes, you can have peace of mind knowing that you’re not sacrificing the finances of the entire household. This works as beauty boxes are cheaper compared to buying individual products in the market.

For example, businesses that offer subscription will require their customers to pay for $10 every month to enjoy a beauty box that contains beauty products valued at $30.

More often than not, you can get more savings if you subscribe to beauty boxes for a longer period. This means that instead of paying for $120 for a one-year subscription (for $10 a month), you’ll have to spend only $100.

3. Variety

Different beauty products are available in the market today. A particular beauty brand might introduce waterproof lipsticks this month and then colourful eyeliner after a couple of weeks. Having these options can break the monotony of using the same beauty products, but choosing what to use can be stressful.

Variety is something that you can experience through beauty boxes. This service is implemented by businesses in order to introduce new products to the market, so expect to receive items that are still not for sale to the public. You’ll be the first user of specific beauty products once you subscribe to beauty boxes.

This variety will allow you to test out beauty products that you never even considered in the past. If you used the same lotion for decades, your beauty box might contain another lotion from a new brand that can provide better results. This benefit will make it very easy for you to update your beauty regime!

4. Custom Picked Products

While some women don’t have any problem in trying out different beauty products, others have specific requirements. The latter is true for women who are allergic to beauty products made from strong chemicals or contain strong odours.

If you don’t want to sacrifice your health and safety just because you want to enjoy beauty products, don’t worry. Businesses who offer beauty boxes will allow you to choose the kind of products you’ll receive regularly.

When you avail of beauty boxes, you will be required to fill out a form as a part of your account creation. This document will require information about your preferred beauty products.

Once you indicate in the form that you have sensitive skin, for example, the business will handpick beauty products that will enhance your physical features without damaging your skin. Businesses will pay close attention to the ingredients of the beauty products they send to you to ensure that you can use all of these safely.

5. Fun

The idea of receiving a package and not knowing what is inside is a very exciting experience for women. You can think of it as opening a birthday present every month or waking up on Christmas morning to see a package waiting for you.

The excitement and fun bought by these beauty boxes can reduce the stress you’ve acquired from managing different responsibilities. It truly is a fun treat for you.

Make Sound Decisions

Subscribing to a beauty box is a lifesaver for women. This service allows women to meet the responsibilities on their plates without sacrificing any of their beauty regimes.

If you want to maximise the service, scout through several beauty boxes and choose one that offers beauty products suitable to your skin type and specific needs. Ask for recommendations from other people, so you’ll end up paying for a beauty box that meets your expectations.

Sustainable living swaps

To continue with my sustainable living, I have kindly been sent some items to share with you. I have spoken about becoming more suitable quite a lot recently and abut the items we can use to protect our environment.

Health and beauty

We use them everyday, but a toothbrush is something that isn’t wonderful for our environment. Made completely of plastic and something that should be changed monthly. So in our house that’s 48 tooth brushes per year that we are throwing away. It’s now possible to use wooden eco-friendly brushes, they might cost a little bit more but in the long run they will help the environment. These little wooden brushes come from The Humble Brush. and lovely little eco friendly company. I have been using mine for a couple of weeks and I’m really happy with the way it cleans my teeth and the condition it still in.

Cleaning between your teeth is also really important to your oral health. But floss and the interdental brushes add up to the landfill pile, The Humble Brush also have a great range of eco-friendly interdental brushes. I have tried them and I like them, they do feel slightly different but the more I use them the more I like them.

shampoo bar

Shampoo is something we use every day in our house, I have to say I do try not to wash my hair daily as I don’t think it is always a good thing. I also use it sparingly, but even so each month we use at least one bottle of shampoo and one of conditioner. For a long while I have been reading about using a shampoo bar, I’m so pleased I did. I love it, it took a few goes to work out how best to use it. But I found wetting it with nice hot water and the rubbing around my hands to gather a lather I was able to then use that for my hair.

It leaves my hair really shiny and soft, I have to say I was shocked at how much I like these Shine Shampoo Bars. I think I will last a lot longer than my standard bottles of shampoo. I do feel like I might want to add some conditioner which is something Shine don’t make.

sustainable makeup

Make up is a big one for me, I do love to wear make-up and I generally buy the pricey items. However I don’t wear tones of make-up and I’m far from being the next greatest make-up artist, but I like it. When lavera offered to send me one of their eye shadow palettes I was keen to try it out. I often find that when I try out something new it just isn’t quite a good and what I would normally choose. I was wrong about this, the eye shadows are all neutral colours and are highly pigmented that you don’t need to use too much of them. They are also long lasting I’m impressed with them.

Removing make up can be a challenge, sometimes I find that I end up using 4 or 5 different cotton pads to remove it. Which over a week or a month really adds up not only in cost but in the amount of landfill we are filling. EcoPanda make fabric makeup pads which come in a bamboo pot and with a little string bag. You use them to remove make up and them pop them into the bag and wash them. They work really well, plus they wash fabulously as well. I will not be buying cotton wool pads again.

Natural World products are just amazing, I was sent these samples and they smell amazing. They are made with all natural ingredients, are paraben, phosphate free, they only thing is they come in plastic bottles. However they are cruelty free and suitable for vegans. These will be living in my overnight bag for all of my trips.

Getting personal

I have been wondering about changing my sanitary products for a while now. I don’t like the how much waste they produce and how long they will in landfill for. I had a long conversation with my sister in law on holiday, she is now using a menstrual cup and loves it. So when I was offered some modibodi period pants I was keen try them out.

I did read lots of reviews and was quite unsure about them, what if there was a smell, what if they leaked. But I didn’t need to worry, they are comfy, not odours and no leaking. I really like them, I would need to buy a couple more pairs the first outlay would be high but over a few months the money I would save on disposable items would out weigh the costs. I know they can be worn alone, with nothing else, but I think I might wear mine along side a cup if I buy one.

sustainable intimacy products

YES are a company leading the way in sustainable intimacy. I mean it might not be something I had thought about before, but they work we have had lots of fun trying them out. YES have a range of different products depending what you are looking for, organic lubricants, vaginal moisturisers and intimate washes.

Have you made swaps to more sustainable product? My next plan is to look at the what items I use in the kitchen.

The importance of using eye creams

We are in the middle of renovating our forever home, the last couple of months has been all about talking to trades men, stripping wall paper, paint samples, lots of dust and stress to go with it. I’ve had a few sleepless nights, worrying about the spiralling costs, the colours of the walls and not forgetting the hours and hours on the internet research lamp shades, log burners, bathrooms and a million other things.

Safe to say that my skill has slipped down the list of priorities. At the moment my face is lucky if I remove all of my make from the day. I then might pop a blob of moisturiser on before chucking on a quick layer of foundation afterwards. Terrible, I know and I must get this sorted.

importance-of-using-eye-creams

Recently I have been looking at the importance of looking after you skin and especially using an eye cream. I have always worn a moisturiser and always containing a SPF for as long as I can remember. I am also very good about wearing all over sunscreen in warmer months.

The importance of using eye creams

Eye cream is something however I pop on when I think about it but I do not religiously wear it. So I have looked at why eye creams are very important.

No one wants to see those dreaded wrinkles appearing it’s one of the first signs of ageing. However, around the eyes is the first area of your face to show signs of ageing. The skin in this area is very delicate and lacks the oil glands that can be found around the rest of the face and body meaning skin around your eyes are also prone to being dry.

Did you know that the skin on your face and particularly around the eyes gets stretched out with all of the amazing facial expressions we make all day. That is means with all the stretching it starts to show those lines and wrinkles sooner rather than later.

As the skin over your eye lids is the thinnest on your body it’s extra important to look after your eyes. I have to say I thought that eye creams are just the same as your daily moisturiser.  However there are differences.

Eye creams are specially designed

Eye creams are specially designed to be used on the eyes, they contain less chemicals, fragrances and even preservatives that can cause eye irritations. They also feel different to moisturisers and are designed to reduce dark circles and puffiness that your eyes are often prone too.

Using eye creams, help to protect that thin skin of your eye lid and also around the whole eye area, keeping the area moisturised and nourished. It is also proven that using moisturising eye creams will help to delay the signs of ageing.

Eye creams also help to prevent dryness, and dry skin is well known to make those little lines start to appear before they should. Eye creams are designed to fill in those tiny little gaps between your skin cells which help to make your skin to smoother.

I always ensure that my daily moisturisers and fountains contain SPF and I like it to be at least 15, I wasn’t aware that you can also get eye creams that contain SPF. I will make sure that I only buy one that continues SPF in the future, it’s so important to help protect your skin from damaging sun rays.

I’m going to ensure that I up my skin care game, I ensure I protect my skin and also limit those little lines that are appearing around my eyes. Just make sure you always check the ingredients to see if there is anything hiding that you could be allergic too.
