Beautiful Wales cottage holidays

A few years ago my Hubby’s Uncle and his family moved to Wales, it’s a place that we have not visited as a family. I have heard amazing things about visiting Wales and I really want to go. Not that we would stay with my Hubby’s Uncle, we would opt for a cottage. I do love a picture perfect cottage or barn conversion.

Wales-Cottage-Holidays-Anglesey

Anglesey is a place that I have been wanting to go for years, I think if I was choosing a location in Wales to holiday it would be Anglesey. Llanddygfael Hir is a luxurious 5* new cottage, that sleeps 8 people and has a hot tub. Located near Cemaes Bay on the Anglesey coast line. There is plenty of outdoor space and not over looked by anyone. It nearest pub and shop are just over a mile away, but with the lovely welcome pack you get it will keep you going with tea and coffee until you make it to shop.

snowdonia-holiday-cottage

Snowdonia is a beautiful part of Wales, my Hubby has been there walking many times. Maesmor is a beautiful cottage set within the Snowdonia National Park. A stunning interior, with stunning views, I can imagine sitting in the garden with a glass of wine taking in the views. Although it is 4 miles away from the nearest pub, for the views and the location I would give up my normal rule of a having pub within a mile. Sleeping 6 people it’s great for a group of couples wanting to do some walking or a larger family.

If you fancy heading toward Pembrokeshire and the West of Wales, Llety’r Graig is a 5* cottage that has the most fabulous view, a large garden and a hot tube. Evenings spent in the hot tub after a day walking would be wonderful. Sleeping 6 people, it has a log burner for the winter months and is only 1 mile from the nearest pub and shops, perfect.

Denbigh Cottage near Denbigh North East Wales, is a large 5* cottage that sleeps 8 people. Making it perfect for large families or a couple of families wanting to go together. It has a hot tub, a table tennis table, a large climbing frame for children and the nearest shop and pub is 1.5 miles away. With stunning views and just 10 miles to the coast, its a great base for those who want to head out for some water sports.

Every cottage I have looked at has the most stunning views, it makes me wonder why we have yet to visit Wales as a family. Have you ever visited? Where would you recommend staying?

Hen Party ideas in Liverpool

I have never visited Liverpool, but it’s a really popular place to visit for hen and stag parties. Liverpool isn’t just the home of the Beatles and amazing night life. There is so much more to Liverpool. Liverpool is home to amazing architecture, the largest cathedral in the country, the Albert Docks, amazing shopping and Liverpool football club, to name just a few.

Liverpool is an eclectic city, with things to do whatever you loves are. I think it would make not only for a the perfect weekend away….. I must speak to the Hubby about that. But also a brilliant fun filled destination for a hen party.

Liverpool has a wide range of accommodation options, it would be a youth hostel, apartment or fancy hotels, whatever the size of the hen party you will find just what you are looking for.

If you have a hen who loves to shop, then Liverpool is the place to be. The Cavern Quarter is the place to go for the designer boutiques. For the best high street shopping, head to South John Street where you will find your all of your favourite high street stores.

If you are after a bit of culture while in Liverpool then there is the Cathedral, Liver Building, the Albert Docks, not for getting the museums with the Beatles Museum being the most popular of them all in Liverpool and a must see for any Beatles fans.

Roof top bars and cocktails bars are the perfect place to start the evening off, why not try Palm Sugar Lounge for some classy cocktails.

Liverpool also has lots of activities on offer for hen parties, cocktail making (which is amazing fun), chocolate making, dance classes, wine tasting, pamper parties, spa days, pole dancing or if you see you and then hens as the next Beatles why not book a recording studio session.

Holiday with Suffolk Secrets and your dogs

Believe it or not I don’t think I have ever been to Suffolk. I’m not sure how that is even possible, being as we love visiting different places in the UK. Suffolk just has not appeared on our places to visit list, although I am not sure why. It has so much to offer.

Suffolk is on the East Coast of England with miles of beautiful coast line to enjoy, areas of outstanding natural beauty, little villages to visit. Suffolk is also very popular as it was home to artist John Constable, people visit Constable Country see what inspired the artist. If you are a fan of the horse racing then New Market is the perfect place for you to visit.

Suffolk Secrets Holidays with Dogs

As I have spoken about before, when we holiday in the UK we like to be able to take our dogs with us. As we have two, it really does cut down on the the accommodation that will accept both and the kids. Sometimes I think it’s the kids the owners should be more worried about than the dogs…….

Suffolk Secrets offer a fabulous range of dog friendly cottages, perfect for a break away with the dogs. Suffolk Secrets actually have a lot of different dog friendly cottages available so it was difficult for me choose my favourites, but here they are.
