Make Your Wedding Day A Party To Remember!

People want different things out of their wedding day. If you want a demure, grown up event, that’s totally fine. But what if what you really want, is to party with the people you love the most all night long? Then you need to set out to make your wedding day a party to remember!

Here are some pointers and ideas that will help you. Take a look and see what you can do:

Choose A Theme

A theme can help to set the mood of your wedding. There are all kinds of themes out there, and you can let your imagination run wild as you take your personalities into account. What do you think will make everybody want to get up on the dance floor? Your theme doesn’t have to be cheesy, but it could definitely be a lot of fun – such as a 70s or 80s themed throwback party!

Give Everybody Props To Play With

Give people props to play with and they’ll make for some interesting accessories and photos. Hopefully, they’ll get everybody on their way to have a lot of fun, which in turn should make them want to get up and party the night away.

Set The Tone With Your Own Wedding Dance

If you want to get people on the dance floor, you should try to set the tone with your own wedding dance. Many couples are breaking the rules in terms of wedding dances these days; they no longer have to be slow and romantic. You can mix a variety of dance styles and music styles to create something all your own. It’s a good idea to end on an upbeat note to make everybody want to follow your lead on the dance floor!

Hire The Right DJ

The right DJ is key to your wedding party. You’re going to want a DJ that will understand and listen to your tastes, as well as somebody who can read a room and get people on their feet when the time is right. Make sure you do plenty of research on your DJ. Finding one that will play tracks to get people dancing doesn’t necessarily mean finding one who will play the cha cha slide. You can set up meetings with DJs like Benny Smyth, who will ask plenty of questions about what you want from your wedding party and the kind of music you like to ensure they get it right.

Keep Everybody On Their Feet For Longer

How can you keep everybody on their feet for longer? Coffee and refreshments! Make sure there are things to take the edge of alcohol consumption, such as coffee, snacks, and other refreshments. You might even want to have some of those roll out dolly shoes available for ladies who want to take off their heels.

Make Your Favours More Personalised

Your personalised favours could include some painkillers, a sachet of coffee/tea bag, and anything else you think your guests will appreciate the morning after your big day!

Setting the scene for your wedding

So many Brides think that they are just not an important part of the wedding, but for me they are. When a wedding invite arrives, I am always excited to see it, what it feels like, looks like, the colours, the patterns, the style. Each and every one of those things are the starting point for your wedding. It gives your guests the first look at what your wedding colours will be, what the theme may be, modern, art deco invitations, rustic, hollywood glamour. I think it helps your guests to start feeling as excited about your wedding as you are.

Something I hadn’t heard about, but is apparently becoming more and more popular with the happy couple, is to produce their very own mini website, just for your wedding. Upload the details of your venue, the menus, gift lists, hotels, transport and anything to help your guests. You could also get them to add photographs after and you can share your favourite wedding photographs. Classic car wedding transport with Book A Classic

Planning your big day can be so much fun, working out all of those little extras that make the day unique to you. Choosing your wedding car isn’t just about getting from the church to the venue or from your home to the ceremony. It’s about setting the tone of your wedding, adding that bit of luxury and showing your personality throughout your big day. Plus get a great photographer and they will look amazing in your photographs as well.

It’s very popular at the moment to have VW camper vans as transport for the bride and her bridesmaids. A couple of my friends have had these in the last couple of years and their photographs look fabulous. When I got married we didn’t have any transport, I stayed at the venue the night before and my Hubby arrived in our car. I do however wish we had images of us with stunning cars.

There are so many different Classic cars around for hire and Book A Classic is the perfect place to start looking for the perfect one for your big day. Using Book A Classic is a one stop shop, it has a hundreds of cars listed and you are easily able to search the cars within your area.

I have picked out my top 5 Book A Classic cars to have at a wedding.

Book A Classic – my top picks

Book A Classic Car

The VW camper van, like I said before they make for the amazing photo graphs, plus how much fun for the bride and her bridesmaids to travel all together in the same vehicle. Also for those having a few bridesmaids by having a VW camper van will save hiring more than one car for the day.

The Chrysler Windsor convertible, such a classic car and so beautiful in a the ivory colour. Looks great in your photographs and will make a fabulous impression on your wedding guests.

If you are looking for a cute little classic but with a splash of colour, what about this lovely VW Beetle Fusca. It’s the perfect little car for a rustic wedding. I can imagine with the burnt orange colour of the car, with the autumnal shades of flowers….. beautiful.

For the more traditional style wedding transport what about a Bentley Mark VI. It oozes country manor grandeur, beautiful in images and a classic car like no other. I love this.

The E type Jaguar is the car of most men’s dreams. The E Type is very popular with Grooms men, they hire the car to drive. Arrive with the best man, then use it to drive their new wife or husband to the reception venue. Just like the Royals do.

These are my top picks from Book A Classic, what do you think? What would be your dream transport for your wedding day? For me I would love the Bentley and my Hubby would go with the E type.
