The Christmas Party Season upon us…. YAY!!! Such an exciting time, with party plans in the making for the last couple of months, getting everyone into the festive sprit. When it comes to Christmas parties, I always want to look amazing. ( or at least try too Haha)
I generally start my hunt for a new dress in around October, when the plans for venues have been confirmed. For me a dress is a must for a Christmas party, well in fact any party. My figure unfortunately doesn’t really suit the gorgeous leather trouser and top look so I always go for a dress.
To go along with my new dress inevitably comes, new shoes, new clutch bag, new jewellery, much to my Hubby’s dismay. ‘Do you really need another pair of shoes and a bag…..’ well quite clearly I do.
When it come to my make up, I love a dramatic smoky eye, with beautifully shimmery eye lids, false eye lashes and a great contour. Finishing off with one of my favourite perfumes.
This year however I had spoken to a couple of people who are going that extra mile and completely changing their hair style just for the Christmas party. Going from luscious long hair to a short choppy style and a cut pixie cut changing to long hair. Honestly I was quite surprised, I mean hair extensions are amazing when done properly however they are very pricey. Then having spend years growing your hair to have it all cut off to match your outfit for the Christmas seems just a little bit crazy to me. If you want to do it for a permanent change then yeah why not, but just because of the Christmas party… wow.
However when the girls started to explained they had found cheap wigs that they were looking at buying. Allowing them to completely change their look for the Christmas party with out having to make it a permanent change. What a brilliant idea. I know its popular with a lot of celebs like Kylie Jenner who is always seen with a different hair style and colour. It’s just not something I had ever thought about doing. However finding wigs that are reasonably priced I might give it a go.
What do you think? Would you wear a wig just for your Christmas party?
