Gone are the days when hen parties are a meal out, lots of drinks and a night club. It’s becoming ever more popular to have hen parties abroad, with trips often costing very little extra then a weekend away in the UK. So why wouldn’t you want to head abroad to top up that tan just in time for your Wedding.
A group of your closet girl friends and family members, jetting off somewhere to help you celebrate your upcoming wedding to the person of your dreams. With Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canaries Islands being the more popular choices as there are so many resorts and the flight times are reasonable, they have become a heaven for hen and stag parties from April through to September.
Jetting off on a hen party means you have to really think about what you pack, it’s not so easy to just pop to the local supermarket if you have forgotten something. Everyone knows, you need to pack too many pairs of shoes, bikinis and outfits for the evenings but it’s all the extras that make a hen party fun.
Hen Party Pool Accessories
I love the idea of a girly trip in the sun, lazing around the pool at the hotel or private villa. Reading books, drinking one too many cocktails, eating the local tapas and just enjoying life. But the pool isn’t just for swimming in. It’s for so much more than that!
Over the last couple of years the fun pool inflatables have become a must have hen party accessory. Cute laylo, unicorns, flamingo inflatable ring, floating cup holders, rubber rings of all shapes and sizes, giant pizza slices that all attach together so everyone has their own slice to lay on. After an evening out on the cocktails, spending a day having fun at the pool is always on the itinerary for a hen party. Why no show off your awesome pool accessories?!
The must have accessories don’t just stop there, round beach towels are everywhere, I have to say I really want one for my holidays this year. Not forgetting the pool side speakers, the beach balls, and the fun novelty hen party items that are seen on most hen parties. The sash for the bride to be, her bridesmaid and the rest of the hen party, little badges, a faux veil for the bride to be, there is so many items to choose from. I know when I have organised a hen party I have always made each person a party bag and filled them with nice little bits, maybe a mini sun lotion, nail polish, fake tan, nail file, pain killers, shots, all sorts of bits and bob to help get the party started and help everyone to settle in to the party mood.
Whatever you do for your hen party, make it one to remember.
What would your must have hen party items be?
