We all know that we’re supposed to drink at least two litres of water per day. However, if you’re anything like me, it’s a habit that you’ll keep up for about a fortnight before falling back into old habits. Now is the time to change that.

Just Drinking Water

While you do not want to fall into the trap of consuming thousands of extra calories each week, it’s important to enjoy drinking too. Not least because a positive relationship with the calories you drink can promote improved habits for what you eat.

My first tip is to get a soda stream. Sure, it was fortunate enough to be sent one in return for an honest review. However, there is no doubt that it can make your drinks less bland. It’s particularly great for families with young children – but adults will love it too.

Another way to enhance your home drinking experiences is to install a filter tap or buy a filter jug. Your water will feel fresher and tastier, which will make it more enjoyable without going through lots of plastic bottles. I have some friends that swear by using a Smart water bottle throughout the day too as it reminds them to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Hot drinks are another area where people can make a lot of mistakes. If you have a morning coffee, it’s best to keep it black and no sugar. If you continue to drink lots of tea and coffee throughout the day, you should try to reduce your intake.

I find that, for the sake of balance, it’s best to avoid quitting those drinks altogether. Bubble tea supplies will allow you to create special treats. Enjoying one cup of bubble tea is probably better than having 10 cups of tea per day. Aside from the caffeine intake, you will find that the more noticeable treat is great for your mental wellness.

Of course, you won’t have to drink your bubble tea every day. It’s just nice to have this option for a luxury drink rather than the monotony of knocking back multiple cups of standard tea each day. Alternatively, you can look to fruit teas as a way to add some versatility.

If you want to maintain healthy relationships with drink in general, you must also focus on alcohol. There is nothing wrong with enjoying alcohol, but keeping your habits under control is essential. One of the best ways is to brew your own beer or create your own wine. The fun comes from making your beverage, which can subsequently enhance your drinking experiences. You’ll also have limited amounts, which can prevent you from binging.

Away from alcoholic drinks, you may also want to create smoothies. I imagine my relationship with smoothie makers is like yours. I’ll go through stages of creating lots of beautiful smoothies before putting it back in the cupboard for months on end. Still, when you want to keep your habits fresh, this is a great option.

By developing a better relationship with drinks, your eating habits should soon follow.
