When you are prepping for your wedding, there are many things that need to be taken into consideration. But there are plenty of things that tend to be forgotten. Here are some of the most common things that are forgotten at a wedding.

Prepping for Your Wedding

Extra transportation

Have you ever heard the story about the bridal party that didn’t have a way to get from the ceremony to the reception? Unfortunately, this story happens more than you would believe. The bridal party tends to be forgotten after the ceremony and many people struggle to get lifts after the ceremony. Always remember to book an extra car for the groomsmen and the bridesmaids.

The weather

If you have planned a beautiful summer wedding, and have no plans for rain, you will probably encounter rain. Having a backup plan when the rain appears, or there is any change in the weather, is one of the easiest ways to ensure your day doesn’t get ruined. It could be as simple as having a basket with sunscreen, welly boots and white umbrellas on hand.

Photo wrangler

You might have booked a photographer and are paying a fortune for your photos but there is a good chance that you need a photo wrangler. This person is there to round up people for the photos so that the photographer can focus on the shots. Sometimes the photographer will have an assistant to help them but you had better ask if they are able to wrangle your guests together for the photos.

The kids

If you are a bride with kids, you will probably have thought about how you can keep them happy during the day. However, if you don’t have kids, you run the risk of having any little guests getting bored and ruining the mood. You also need to make sure that the area is safe for them so everyone can relax. You don’t need to get a health and safety consultant in but you should have a check to make sure that the kids will be safe.

Sunset

If you are planning a winter wedding, you will probably have planned for bad weather. But what about the sunset? This is very important if you are planning on taking photos outside as the sunlight tends to be an important part of getting those photos done. Always check to see what time sunset is at so you don’t get left in the dark.

Gift person

As the bride, you won’t have time to gather all of your wedding presents, but you should have someone who you trust that can help you. Sometimes this job falls to the bridesmaids but make sure you tell one of them that this is their job. If you assume that they will do this, you could end up with your gifts being left at the reception. However, some places do offer a gift holding service so you can swing by the next morning and pick them up.

Cash

Depending on the type of bar you have at your reception, you might want to consider having some cash on you. You will be surprised by the amount of brides who end up needing their bank card or some cash on their wedding day, so always have something to hand for emergencies.
