Spring with Julian Charles Bedding

A couple of months ago I was sent a fabulous new mattress from sleep bear and of course my thoughts have now turned to new bedding for the spring.  I love so many interior styles, but not all of them would suit me and my style.

I love floral, vintage, country styles for my home, even plain white or pale grey heavy cotton bedding is beautiful, when accessorised correctly. However, at the moment I am in love with the more modern marble, blush, geometric patterns that look fabulous together. Adding those copper accessories, glass jars, big mirrors with a copper geometric pattern around. But as much as these are very popular and look beautiful all together, it just isn’t me and my style. But I would love to add have a splash of modern as I always seem to go back to my country cottage style.

Flowers are important to me, my Mum loved flowers and having them around the house is a reminder of her, which makes me happy. I have a wonderful Hubby who regularly buys me and our little girl flowers. Having never had floral bedding before I thought now would be the time to look for something to add a bit more of that fresh Spring look to our bedroom.

Bedroom style with Julian Charles

I found this gorgeous Lucy Lemon Floral bedding set at Julian Charles, that to me feels just like Spring. Its fresh colours and shades of the flowers are lovely. Pale pinks, peachy shades, green and grey all work beautifully together to achieve that spring feeling. Our bedroom is very plainly decorated with cream walls and solid ash furniture. The room gets a lot of light due to the large bay window, so it always has that airy feel to it. I think this bedding will work perfectly.

For our bedroom I would style this using a pale pink woollen blanket, and few scatter cushions picking out some of the shades of the flowers. It also has that geometric pattern on the underside of the bedding, so I would be able to add something more modern, maybe a fabulous mirror or a vase something to blend in but give a slight modern feel to my normally very vintage looking home.

What is your interior style? Do you like the more vintage feel like me or something more modern?
